Viva Macau operating licence reportedly on offer: AirAsia interested - report

Viva Macau's operating licence is reportedly on offer, potentially giving international airlines an opportunity to establish a presence in Macau (Financial Times, 12-Apr-2010). AirAsia is reportedly among the interested parties, and has held preliminary talks about establishing a JV in Macau. The opening follows the revocation of Viva Macau's Air Operator's Certificate on 28-Mar-2010. Viva Macau, however, maintains that it stood "ready to resume service with our reinstated AOC".
