Amadeus completed its acquisition of Vision-Box in 1H2024 for approximately EUR320 million, with the intent to strengthen its biometric solutions offering for airports and border control, following regulatory approvals in all relevant markets1 2. Vision-Box had previously secured a five-year contract with Australia's Department of Home Affairs for Departure SmartGate services, supporting automated border control at 10 international airports3.
