Virgin Australia reports 'enormous progress' on strategy in FY2012

Virgin Australia chairman Neil Chatfield said (20-Nov-2012) the airline made "enormous progress" on its Game Change Program strategy in FY2012, including establishing a global network with key alliance partners, launching business class on its domestic network, expanding its presence in regional Australia and relaunching its international operations. Mr Chatfield also said the airline's financial performance in FY2012 reflected "sound cost control as well as strong improvement in revenue yield". Mr Chatfield said the airline made significant progress in diversifying earnings with a strong presence in the leisure and corporate markets and the carrier plans to expand its presence in budget and regional markets.
