The E190-E2 delivery marked Embraer's 1900th E-Jet globally and introduced business class to Western Australia's charter market for the first time, with the aircraft intended to operate both charter and commercial routes primarily within Western Australia and later across the national network. The first four of eight E190-E2s were scheduled for delivery within 12 months, allowing for retirement of VARA's Fokker F100 fleet from early 20261.
