Virgin Atlantic in discussions to join SkyTeam

Virgin Atlantic is in discussions to join the SkyTeam alliance according to Virgin Atlantic CEO Steve Ridgeway (Bloomberg, 22-Dec-2012). Mr Ridgeway said SkyTeam appears more attractive than Star Alliance as the alliance is to lose TAM following its merger with LAN. Mr Ridgway's comments follow Virgin Atlantic's signing of a cost and revenue sharing venture with Delta Air Lines earlier in Dec-2012. Delta Air Lines is currently a member of SkyTeam.
