The national airport and seaport master plan adjustment followed the establishment of an appraisal council led by the Department of Planning and Finance under the Ministry of Construction. The plan aimed to increase the airport network from 31 airports by 2030 to 34 by 2050, with 11 potential airports identified for future inclusion when qualified1. The expected land use for the airport system by 2030 was around 25,791 hectares2.
