Vietnam expects traffic growth of 14% in 2010

Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV) stated the country's aviation market grew 24% year-on-year in Mar-2010 and expects traffic to grow at least 14% this year, compared with growth of 8.4% in 2009 (VietNamNet, 06-May-2010). Passenger numbers also rose 19% year-on-year in 1Q2010, to more than 5 million with international arrivals totalling 2.8 million. The administration stated domestic traffic had also increased with the launch of new services from Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific.
