VietJet Qazaqstan previously built up Astana international flying, planning to raise Astana-Bishkek and Astana-Samarkand from twice to three times weekly in 1Q2026 after launching both routes in Nov-2025 with Dash 8-Q400 equipment.1 2 3 4 It also planned subsidised seasonal Astana domestic services to Balkhash, Usharal and Urzhar from Jun-2026.5 Qazaq Air earlier suspended Astana-Yekaterinburg in late 2024 citing flight safety risk assessments for Russia, while continuing Omsk and Novosibirsk.6
