Vienna International Airport pax up 4%, cargo down 12% in Oct-2012

Austria's Vienna International Airport passenger numbers up 4% - traffic highlights for Oct-2012:

• Passenger numbers: 2.0 million, +4.0% year-on-year;
• Cargo volume: 21,419 tonnes, -12.2%;

The airport also reported (13-Nov-2012) the number of transfer passengers increased 2.7% to 650,096 during the month. Passenger traffic to Eastern Europe increased 9.8% while the number of passengers travelling to Western Europe rose by 5.1%, and the Middle East recorded growth of 8.0%.
