Vestergaard previously launched a hybrid-electric version of the Elephant BETA in 2019, and since then its fully electric e-BETA de-icing vehicle has been adopted at airports worldwide, with reported CO2 emission reductions of up to 87% compared to conventional models1. The e-BETA is capable of de-icing 10 to 20 aircraft per charge and has been selected by operators such as FSM Group for Calgary International Airport2.
