The planned investment for the new terminal and modernisation works at Vasil Levski Sofia Airport was approximately BGN450 million, with the 60,000sqm Terminal 3 aimed at raising handling capacity to 20 million passengers per annum. The construction timeline and capacity targets were consistent with prior announcements, with the project scheduled to start in Apr-2026 and become operational in Apr-20311.
