Vancouver introduces 'passenger behaviour observation'

Canada's Vancouver International Airport announced plans to introduce a new level of security with a programme called "passenger behaviour observation" (CBC News, 14-Feb-2011). The programme is being piloted by Transport Canada and involves training officers to look for suspicious behaviour and assessing whether those identified are a threat to aviation security. The programme commenced in Jan-2011.
