UTair pax up 14.3% in 1H2016

UTair reported (25-Jul-2016) traffic highlights for 1H2016:

• Passengers: 2.8 million, +14.3% year-on-year;
• • Domestic: 2.4 million, +28.6%;
• Aircraft operations: 80,492 hours, +13.5%;
• Freight: 10,438 tonnes, +62.5%;
• Mail: 2608, +83.3%.

UTair president Alexei Budnik reported the carrier was able to improve its performance via a combination of enhanced network and fleet efficiency. For the 2016 summer schedule, the airline has resumed seasonal flights from 10 Russian regional to resorts along the Black Sea coast. [more - original PR - Russian]
