Rohde & Schwarz previously completed installation of its QPS201 scanners at Rome Fiumicino Airport's Terminal T3 gates for US and Israel-bound flights1. The US TSA had earlier awarded Rohde & Schwarz a USD10.9 million contract for QPS201 scanners, which use millimetre wave radio frequency technology to screen passengers for concealed threats2. It also supplied QPS201 scanners to London Heathrow Airport to address high detection accuracy and fast passenger throughput requirements3.
