McKinney National Airport progressed towards scheduled commercial service after signing a five-year airline use and lease agreement with Avelo Airlines to support the passenger terminal and adjacent facilities, with Avelo the first carrier to commit at the airport.1 Airport director Ken Carley said Avelo planned to commence commercial service from Nov-2026, coinciding with the opening of a new passenger terminal.2
