San Francisco International Airport planned to close Runway 1R from 30-Mar-2026 to 02-Oct-2026 for surface repaving and adjacent taxiway improvements, with arrivals and departures using Runways 28L and 28R, while Runway 1L served as an additional taxiway to reduce ground congestion1 2.
