US Airways pax down 1%, PRASM up 16% in Jul-2010

US Airways passenger numbers down 1% - consolidated traffic highlights in Jul-2010:

  • Passenger numbers: 5.4 million, -1.0% year-on-year;
    • Domestic: 4.7 million, -2.3%;
    • Trans-Atlantic: 290,855, -3.9%;
    • Latin America: 366,783, +23.2%;
  • Load factor: 85.1%, -0.8 ppt;
    • Domestic: 84.8%, -1.9 ppt;
    • Trans-Atlantic: 86.5%, +3.1 ppts;
    • Latin America: 84.7%, +0.1 ppt;
  • Passenger revenue per ASM: +16%;
  • Revenue per ASM: +17%. [more]

US Airways: "Our July consolidated (mainline and Express) passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) increased approximately 16% versus the same period last year while total revenue per available seat mile increased approximately 17% on a year-over-year basis.
