US Airways passenger numbers up 1.4% - consolidated traffic highlights in May-2010:

  • Passenger numbers: 5.2 million, +1.4% year-on-year;
    • Domestic: 4.6 million, stable;
    • Trans-Atlantic: 251,098, +10.5%;
    • Latin America: 317,968, +18%:
  • Load factor: 82.5%, +0.3 ppt;
    • Domestic: 83.1%, -0.9 ppt;
    • Trans-Atlantic: 83.5%, +5.3 ppts;
    • Latin America: 75%, +2.2 ppts. [more]

US Airways: "Our May consolidated (mainline and Express) passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) increased approximately 18% versus the same period last year while total revenue per available seat mile increased approximately 19% on a year-over-year basis. As we head into the busy summer travel period, we continue to be optimistic as the revenue environment remains robust with continued strength in close-in bookings and overall yields," Scott Kirby, President.
