United Airlines passenger numbers gain 0.5% - consolidated traffic highlights:

  • Jun-2010:
    • Passenger numbers: 7.5 million, +0.5% year-on-year;
    • Passenger traffic (RPMs): +3.5%;
    • Load factor: 87.9%, +2.0 ppts;
      • North America: 89.3%, +0.8 ppt;
      • Asia Pacific: 88.9%, +6.1 ppts;
      • Trans-Atlantic: 89.4%, +2.2 ppts;
      • Latin America: 77.0%, -1.1 ppt;
  • Three months ended 30-Jun-2010:
    • Passenger numbers: 21.3 million, +1.2%;
    • Passenger traffic (RPMs): +3.9%;
      • North America: -2.5%;
      • Asia Pacific: +10.8%;
      • Trans-Atlantic: +1.9%;
      • Latin America: +11.5%;
    • Load factor: 84.3%, +2.3 ppts;
      • North America: 86.6%, +0.4 ppt;
      • Asia Pacific: 83.1%, +7.9 ppts;
      • Tran-Atlantic: 83.9%, +2.3 ppts;

United Airlines: “For Jun-2010, consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) is estimated to have increased 30.5% to 31.5% year over year, 2.7 ppts of which is due to accounting adjustments booked in the month. Consolidated PRASM is estimated to have increased 5.0% to 6.0% for June 2010 compared to June 2008, 2.2 ppts of which is due to accounting adjustments booked in the month,” Company statement.
