United Continental Holdings pax numbers down in Nov-2011, load factor stable

United Continental Holdings reports (07-Dec-2011) the following traffic highlights in Oct-2011:

  • Passenger numbers: 10.9 million, -4.8% year-on-year;
  • Passenger traffic (RPMs): -3.6%;
  • Passenger load factor: 81.2%, +0.3 ppt;
    • North America: 84.4%, +1.4 ppts;
    • International: 78.6%, -1.2 ppts;
    • Atlantic: 77.3%, -0.1 ppt;
    • Pacific: 80%, -3.9 ppts;

United Continental Holdings: United and Continental's Nov-2011 combined consolidated and mainline passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) increased an estimated 10.5 to 11.5 percent and 9.5 to 10.5 percent, respectively, as compared to Nov-2010.
