United Continental Holdings pax numbers down 1.2% in Jan-2011

United Continental Holdings reports (07-Feb-2011) the following traffic highlights in Jan-2011:

  • Passenger numbers: 10.7 million, -1.2% year-on-year;
  • Passenger traffic (RPMs):+0.4%;
  • Passenger load factor: 77.9%, stable;
    • North America: 79.3%, +1.0 ppts;
    • International: 78.6%, -1.0 ppts;
    • Atlantic: 73%, -3.6 ppts;
    • Pacific: 85%, +2.4 ppts;
    • Latin America: 79%, -1.7 ppts. [more]

United Continental Holdings: United and Continental's January 2011 combined consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) increased an estimated 10.5 to 11.5 percent compared to the pro forma results from January 2010, while mainline PRASM increased an estimated 11.5 to 12.5 percent compared to the pro forma results from the same period last year,” Source: Company statement, 07-Feb-2011.
