United Airlines previously said it would base its first 737 MAX 8 in Guam from Feb-2026 and progressively swap its 10 Guam-based 737-800s for 737 MAX 8s (up to 166 seats, including up to 16 first class), covering its 15 existing Guam narrowbody destinations and other Guam hub points.1 It also planned a Guam Airport check-in lobby renovation, due for completion by mid Oct-2025.1
