The UK Government initiated a review of the Airports National Policy Statement, which will set new criteria for Heathrow’s expansion, including climate, noise, air quality, and economic growth, with a revised draft due for consultation by summer 2026. Both Heathrow Airport Limited and the Arora Group were required to provide further details on their expansion schemes, which are under active consideration for a third runway decision by end of the current parliament1.
