UK Civil Aviation Authority announces fresh airspace closures

UK Civil Aviation Authority stated increased concentrations of volcanic ash are causing airspace closures in isolated parts of Scotland and are forecast to cause closures in Northern Ireland, which will affect local airport operations on 03-May-2010 and early on 04-May-2010. Operations from Stornoway, Tiree, Barra and Benbecula will cease until airspace reopens. Airspace over Northern Ireland will also be closed from 07:00 on 03-May-2010, forcing the closure of Belfast International, Belfast City and City of Derry airports.
