Honeywell Aerospace and the City of Phoenix Aviation Department signed an agreement to study extending Honeywell’s SURF-A Surface Alert technology from pilots to ground vehicle operators at three Phoenix airports, with in-vehicle testing planned from Oct-2026 to end-2026.1 The US FAA reported SAI surveillance tools were operational at 100 ATC towers and planned installations at another 44 airports by end-2026.2 uAvionix previously won an FAA contract to deploy FlightLine SAI at 55 additional towers and equip FAA TechOps vehicles with VTU-20 transmitters.3
