Turkish Airlines operating profit up 192% in 2012, 39 million pax handled

Turkish Airlines reports (15-Mar-2013) the following financial* highlights for the 12 months ended Dec-2012:

  • Sales revenue: TRY14,900 million (EUR6442 million), +26% year-on-year;
  • Operating profit: TRY1048 million (EUR453 million), +192%;
  • Net profit: TRY1133 million (EUR489.9 million), compared to a net profit of TRY19 million (EUR8.2 million) in p-c-p;
  • Passenger numbers: 39 million, +20%;
  • Passenger traffic (RPKs): +26%;
  • Capacity (ASKs): +18%;
