Timiș County Council President Alfred Simonis stated Turkish Airlines planned to launch five times weekly Istanbul-Timisoara from Apr-2026.1 Turkish Airlines also disclosed its board had decided to launch scheduled services to Timisoara, subject to availability and market conditions.2 Separately, Wizz Air expanded at Timisoara by basing a third aircraft and launching five new routes, taking it to 20 services from the airport.3
