TUIfly cabin crew to pursue new collective agreement represented by FNV

FNV Luchtvaart reported (25-Feb-2020) TUIfly cabin crew plan to pursue a new collective agreement negotiated by FNV, challenging "high workloads" and a large number of "flex-contracts". FNV head David van de Geer said a "large majority" of cabin crew have become members of the FNV union and wish for the union to represent them in collective bargaining negotiations. Mr van de Geer said action taken to pursue a new agreement will be "public-friendly" initially, however, "members have indicated that they are also ready for work stoppages". TUIfly commented on the situation, stating its internal cabin crew participation structure "forms the basis for adequate representation" and that FNV "brings no added value" to employment conditions (lucthvaartnieuws.nl, 26-Feb-2020).
