TAV Holding EBITDA up 33% in 1Q2012

Turkey’s TAV Holding revenue up 19% - financial highlights for three months ended 31-Mar-2012:

  • Revenue*: EUR211.3 million, +19% year-on-year;
    • Aviation: EUR51.5 million, +22%;
    • Sale of duty free goods: EUR49.2 million, +22%;
    • Ground handling: EUR39.9 million, +16%;
    • Commission from duty free sales: EUR20.7 million, +18%;
    • Catering: EUR15.8 million, +43%;
  • EBITDA*: EUR46.8 million, +33%;
  • Net profit: EUR12.0 million, compared to a loss of EUR14.5 million in p-c-p;
  • Passenger numbers: 13.7 million, +35%;
  • Domestic: 6.6 million, +48%;
  • International: 7.1 million, +24%;
  • Duty free spend per passenger: EUR15.7, -5%;
  • Total assets: EUR2065 million, -1% when compared to period ended 31-Dec-2011;
  • Cash and cash equivalents: EUR89.5 million, +17%;
