Portugal's Government set the sale price for a 44.9% stake in TAP Air Portugal at EUR700 million, valuing the airline at over EUR1.5 billion. Air France, Lufthansa and International Airlines Group expressed interest, and TAP reported EUR1955 million in operating revenue for 1H2025, a 1% year-on-year decrease. The privatisation process required investors to prequalify within 60 days, followed by a 90 day period for non-binding proposals1.
