Taoyuan International Airport to be managed by state-owned company

Taiwan's Taoyuan International Airport will be managed and operated by a state-owned company to be established in Nov-2010 as part of a proposed aerotropolis project in Taoyuan County (Taipei Times, 29-Mar-2010). Civil Aeronautics Administration will submit a USD9.4 billion Master Plan for developing the airport into an aviation city to the Cabinet in May-2010. The plan aims to expand the airport's capacity to to 4.06 million tonnes of cargo and 58 million passengers p/a by 2030.
