TAM to cut domestic routes, reduce fleet in 2013

TAM reportedly plans to cut domestic routes by 7% and reduce its fleet from 114 to 109 in 2013, according to CEO Marco Antonio Bologna (Valor Economico, 28-Sep-2012). Mr Bologna noted the move is in response to slowing economic growth and rising costs in Brazil, but left open the possibility of the carrier expanding its domestic fleet in 2014.
