Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport previously launched a global tender to appoint architectural and engineering firms for its AUD6 billion capital works programme, which includes the T2-T3 terminal link creating new terminal space and up to 12 new swing gates for domestic and international operations. The move to a long-term partnership model marked a significant change from its traditional project-by-project contracting approach, with panel and project appointments announced in Dec-20251.
