SWISS announced it commenced grounding its nine A220-100s for at least 18 months, aiming to use their PW1500G engines as spares to support the larger A220-300 fleet; it operated 21 A220-300s alongside the nine A220-100s.1 SWISS also planned to suspend Geneva services to Berlin, Hamburg and Pristina in winter 2026/27, citing limited worldwide availability of aircraft and engine parts for its A220 fleet.2
