Strategy for profitable growth in Latin America

IATA announced (24-Mar-2010) an industry strategy for profitable growth in Latin American aviation, outlining specific recommendations on priorities for Latin American aviation including:

  • Safety: Governments encouraged to make Latin America the first region where both of IATA's flagship audits-IOSA and the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations-are a mandated standard requirement;
  • Security: Replacement of airport-by-airport approach with regional partnerships that spread best practices. [more]
