St Petersburg Government to sign concession agreement for construction of new terminal at Pulkovo

Russia's St Petersburg Government reportedly plans to sign a concession agreement for the construction of a new, USD1.8 billion terminal at St Petersburg Pulkovo Airport, to commence in Summer 2010 (Marchmont News, 16-Oct-2009). The tender was awarded to an international consortium consisting of VTB Bank, Fraport and Horizon Air Investments in Jun-2009. The new terminal will have capacity for handle 7.4 million passengers p/a, with potential to expand capacity to 22 million p/a by 2025. The airport can currently has the capacity to handle six million passengers p/a.
