Spring reports USD59.8m profit in first eight months of 2010

Spring Airlines Chairman Wang Zhenghua stated the LCC reported a near CNY400 million (USD59.8 million) profit in the first eight months of 2010 and expects full-year 2010 profit to reach CNY500 million (USD74.8 million) (Yicai.com, 30-Sep-2010). Mr Wang added the average airfares rose 6% to 10% in Jul-Aug-2010. The LCC reported a 60% year-on-year increase in revenue to CNY1,470 million and a profit of CNY160 million in 1H2010.
