Spring Airlines: Airline and high-speed rail competition to intensify over 2-3 years

Spring Airlines chairman Wang Zhenghua estimates the competition between airlines and China's high-speed rail will become more intense over the next two to three years, according to a ICEO.com.cn report. Mr Wang stated the high-speed rail's advantage lies in 600km to 1000km routes, adding the carrier no longer operates on routes under 800km. Mr Wang also stated the carrier is actively seeking cooperation with high-speed rail, although "everything is still in discussions".
