Spirit projects 15% to 20% capacity growth p/a over next five years

Spirit Airlines stated (15-Mar-2017) it plans to grow capacity between 15% to 20% p/a over the next five years. The carrier noted it will need to add additional aircraft to its fleet by 2019 to achieve its target growth rate, as it also evaluates its aircraft needs beyond 2021. Spirit identified growth opportunities beyond 2021 that would require up to 125 additional aircraft through 2026, assuming a growth rate of around 10%. [more - original PR]
