Spanish Government moves to improve tourist arrivals and air travel

Spanish Government agreed to a number of measures to improve tourist arrivals and air travel in the country, including a EUR600 million line of credit for Spanish carriers and a freezing of airport charges in 2010 (Reuters, 02-Dec-2009). The government has also approved the rerouting of flight paths to reduce CO2 emissions, which is expected to save carriers EUR11.5 million p/a in fuel costs.
