South Korea and Myanmar to liberalise air services
South Korea's Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs announced (18-Dec-2012) South Korea and Myanmar have reached an agreement to liberalise air services, removing the limit on the number of carriers providing services between the two countries. Until now, only two carriers from each country were permitted to operate services. Currently, the following South Korean carriers are operating services to Myanmar:
- Korean Air: Four times weekly Incheon-Yangon service;
- Asiana Airlines: Twice weekly Incheon-Yangon service commencing 19-Dec-2012. [more - original PR - Korean]
