Singapore Airlines to receive second A350 in week of 18-Apr-2016

Airbus CEO Fabrice Bregier, at the 18-Apr-2016 opening of the Airbus Asia Training Centre (AATC) in Singapore, stated (18-Apr-2016) that Singapore Airlines (SIA) will take delivery of its second A350 this week. AATC is the first pilot training centre in Asia Pacific with an A350 full flight simulator. This simulator is currently at the SIA Training Centre, where it was initially delivered in Oct-2015, but will be moved to the new AATC facility by the end of 2016. A new second A350 full flight simulator will also be delivered to AATC by the end of 2016 followed by a third by 2019. Mr Bregier cited Airbus' relationship with SIA as one of three key reasons for selecting Singapore for the AATC and added that its second training joint venture with SIA, covering the area of maintenance and overhaul, will "go live soon".
