Singapore Airlines pax numbers up in Jan-2013, pax yields likely to continue to come under pressure

Singapore Airlines reports (15-Feb-2013) the following traffic highlights for Jan-2013:

  • Passenger numbers: 1.5 million, +2.5% year-on-year;
  • Passenger load factor: 78.3%, +1.3 ppts;
    • East Asia: 72.1%, +1.4 ppts;
    • Americas: 82.1%, +4.0 ppts;
    • Europe: 79.5%, +0.9 ppt;
    • South West Pacific: 83.5%, -0.5 ppt;
    • West Asia and Africa: 73%, +0.3 ppt;
