Singapore Airlines considering "several" candidates for new CEO

Singapore Airlines Chairman, Stephen Lee, stated the company is considering "several" candidates, both within and outside the company, to succeed CEO, Chew Choon Seng, who is nearing the end of his contract (Bloomberg, 27-Jul-2010). Mr Lee commented: "The board has been engaged in the process of looking for a successor and we are on schedule". Mr Chew, who has held the CEO position since 2003, stated he will "move on" when his current contract expires in Dec-2010.
