Shanghai Pudong International Airport commissions satellite terminal
Shanghai Pudong International Airport announced (16-Sep-2019) its satellite terminal commenced operation on 16-Sep-2019, increasing passenger capacity to 80 million p/a. The terminal is separated into two parts, S1 and S2. S1 and T1 will jointly serve China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines and SkyTeam airlines while S2 and T2 will jointly serve Air China, China Southern Airlines, Juneyao Air, Spring Airlines, Star Alliance airlines and oneworld airlines. The satellite terminal has 28,000sqm retail area, including 10,000sqm duty free retail. S1 can process international to domestic, international to international and domestic to international transfers within the satellite terminal.
