Schulte presents comprehensive three-point package of demands to EU

Germany's Fraport announced (30-Sep-09) Dr Stefan Schulte, Fraport AG's new executive board chairman, has presented the European Commission with a three-point package of demands to relieve the burden faced by airports due to the global recession. The demands included:

  • Complete abolition of regulations for liquids in carry-on baggage;
  • Re-examination of aviation-security regulations;
  • Review the slot allocation directive.

Mr Schulte also discussed Fraport's Airport Expansion Program (AEP), stating it was decisive for the future viability and competitiveness of Frankfurt Airport. [more]
