The construction of Long Thanh International Airport was projected to be completed in 2025, with operations expected to commence in 3Q2026, including the second runway1. Vietnam Airlines also signed MoUs with three Singaporean aviation companies to enhance bilateral partnerships, including expanding cargo operations at Long Thanh International Airport with Singapore Airport Terminal Services2. The Airports Corporation of Vietnam secured a USD1.8 billion credit contract for phase one of the construction, aimed at accommodating 25 million passengers and 1.2 million tonnes of cargo annually3.
