SAS CEO: Income before tax 'represents a year-on-year improvement of EUR57m

SAS announced (08-May-2016) the carrier's income before tax amounted to a loss of (SEK309 million) (EUR34.38 million) in the period from Nov-2015 to Jan-2016. SAS president and CEO Rickard Gustafson stated: "This represents a year-on-year improvement of SEK527 million (EUR56.80 million)" adding: "The improvement was driven by our commercial success, significantly lower jet-fuel costs and the effects of cost measures".
