Santiago Cibao International Airport’s USD300 million expansion plan previously targeted completion in 2026, including expanded check-in and security areas, additional aircraft parking, a runway extension to 9800 feet, and a hotel and business centre, lifting capacity from two to four million passengers p/a.1 The Dominican Republic Government also stated it would invest USD300 million to double terminal capacity and extend the runway by 280 metres.2
