Costa Rica's Ministry of Public Works said San Jose Juan Santamaria International Airport's USD62.2 million terminal expansion aimed to deliver a 16,500sqm facility with a modernised baggage handling system, expanded customs area and self check-in/bag drop, with completion expected in 20271. The airport also selected Alstef Group for a phased baggage handling system upgrade, starting with twelve check-in stations and new conveyors/carousel, followed by integration and future inline screening and automated security screening2.
